Cameron Turns Five

For Cameron's school she is allowed to bring a parent into class to visit on the week of their birthday. I came to class and got to watch her put on the special class vest, sit in the special sun spot on the rug, and practice singing for their Thanksgiving program. After all their learning, she was able to pass out cupcakes to her classmates.

On Cameron's birthday she woke up to her decorated door, which is a family tradition in the house.
Eric was able to be home early from work despite spending the week in Texas. The girls were very happy to see him.

Later we took her to Chicago to pick out an American Girl Doll. It was a surprise so when we walked into the store and told her she got to take one home, she started jumping up and down. She had been studying the catalogue for months so she knew exactly which one she wanted. After she picked her out, we headed to the cafe for dinner.
Cameron enjoyed feeding her doll at the table. She also decided to name her doll Bailey. Her pizza had five pepperoni which was appropriate for her fifth birthday.

Although American Girl Place is not what Kaylee enjoys she was a good sport about supporting her sister on her birthday. Kaylee did wonder why everything in the whole store had to be pink and purple though. I doubt we'll be visiting the store for Kaylee's birthday.

Cameron smiling with her tray of deserts. The dinner was great and both girls enjoyed all the pink lemonade they could drink.
