To honor Brooklyn's birthday, the girls and I made her some pupcakes. They are mainly flour and oats mixed with apples and chedder cheese.
Here she is on a down, stay, waiting for her treat. SHe did well, and even let the girls sing to her before she was allowed to eat it. When she got the command, she gobbled it up immediately.
We wanted to give her a present, a new ball, however, she has a sprained knee and is restricted from all activity for a week. She got it from running on our driveway after a tennis ball. She is on a lot of pain meds, but it doesn't seem to help right now. I will post more on her progress later.
The pupcakes were a hit, so I think we will continue that tradition in the future. (Only on her birthday, of course.) It was so easy and the kids had fun helping.

Recipe for Pupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting Adapted from 2DP
(We omitted the frosting because we thought it might make Brooklyn sick. She has a weak stomach, plus she isn't used to eating human food.)
