Roller Skating Party

Last Christmas Kaylee had received a pair of roller blades from her uncle Lance. They were a little big for her, so she wasn't able to use them until last night. Our school had a roller skating party to celebrate the long weekend. This was the first time for both girls on skates.

Kaylee went off with her classmates, Jessica, Lexi, Cloe, Anna, and they were showing her how to do it. By the end of the night, Kaylee was confident enough to skate on her own. She fell a lot, but got right back up and tried again. She was so cute out there.
Cameron got some help skating from some of my fifth grade students and some coworkers. They could grab her by the hand and let her skate between them. By the end of the night, she was also skating by herself. She even took off in the middle of floor by herself when there was a backward skate. Next time I have to remember to take my own roller blades.

The girls can't wait to come back and show their skills to Eric.
