We were invited to go to an Easter egg hunt with our friends Ryan and Michelle on the last day of spring break. The girls loved getting all the egg, then being able to jump in the bounce houses. At the end they got a basket full of goodies to take home.
Later in the week when my mom came to watch Cameron while I was at school, she planned a scavenger hunt for all the grandkids. They had some much fun looking for the prize. They received some flowers, candy, and a new kite.
The girls also helped my mom create a bunny cake to have for desert that night. 
Every Easter morning we have a family tradition in which we tie a string to the end of their bedpost. The girls follow the string and at the end of the string is an Easter basket. Usually we make this pretty difficult, however, this Easter was special because were going downtown to watch our friend Joe get baptized. We had to leave the house by 7, so the maze was simple in order to get it all accomplished before then.
The girls' strategy is very different when playing this game. Kaylee neatly rolls the string up into a little ball until she reaches the end of it and finds her basket. She relishes the time and anticipates her prize.
On the other hand, Cameron doesn't have enough patience to roll the sting. Instead she just follows the string with her finger to the end without ever picking it up. The excitement is too much for her.
In their basket they received some new flips flops, bubbles, games, candy, and some money for them to save for our trip to Disney.
After opening their baskets we headed to Chicago for church. Unfortunately, we had such a busy day, I didn't get too many pictures of their Easter dresses. I will have to take them to the forest perserve sometime in the near future to take some pictures. Here they are waiting the green room before the service began having a second breakfast.
Surprisingly Kaylee wore a dress two Sundays in a row. Here she is in the hat she wore for Palm Sunday last week. It is such a treat to see her dress like a little lady.
After church we went to brunch with Joe's family. Then we went to the hospital to meet our new nephew. I will post more on these things later. For Easter lunch we went to Nana Evers' house.
