A Day in the Country

We went up to Michigan to celebrate the Fourth of July this year. I wasn't able to post anything then since my computer was being repaired. There was a a lot to be thankful for on my Zoerhof side of the family. My grandma is turning 90 this year, my aunt Carol & uncle Lloyd are celebrating 45 years of marriage, and my parents and aunt Val & uncle Duane are celebrating 40 years of marriage. I hope that Eric and I live long enough to celebrate that many years of marriage.

After a great lunch the little kids played at the park and the older kids played baseball with their aunts and uncles. Kaylee was impressed on how far her dad could smack the ball. Later we all went to my grandma's farm. My cousin Todd lives there with his wife and two kids. They own two horses (Lucky and Cowgirl) and Josie was kind enough to take all the kids on a ride. The girls loved this and loved to feed the horses treats when they were done.
They also took us all on a hay ride. It was fun to see all the places I used to play around the farm as a kid. All the kids got a chance to drive the tractor. They thought this was really cool.
In between all the activities, the girls caught frogs and played house with their cousins in my parents' pop-up camper. Of course, Cam needed to have both ice cream and cake.

Happy Anniversary!!Here's the girls playing in the camper. I have some great camping memories from that camper. Even so, Eric said I couldn't take it home.On our way home we took the kids to our newest favorite burger joint in New Buffalo, called Redimack. I am getting hungry just thinking about it!
