What an Honor

Cameron was asked to be in a wedding for Eric's cousin, Christopher. This is a fabulous honor in which I was sure Cameron would be excited to perform. She will get her hair done, wear a new dress, and carry a bouquet of flowers. What is not to love for a little girl?

[Kim who is Christopher's mom asked Cameron originally because she normally doesn't talk to boys or men even if they are related.]

Kim asks Cameron, "Do you want to be in Christopher and Rhonda's Wedding?"

"No," Cam is quick to respond.

"Cam, it's not for a really long time. It's after your birthday, Christmas, and even school will be over then. Do you think you would want to do it then?" Kim says coaxingly.

"You can ask me when I am 6."

"So...you need to think about it?"

"Yes."

"Well, you know we really want you to be in the wedding and we don't even know any other little girls to ask."

"Yeah you do. You know Karlye." (Christopher's other cousin.)

Kim laughs, and says, "But Christopher really wants you to be in his wedding. You'll get a new dress and he'll even buy you a present."

(Silence)

(Still more silence)

There's still time to talk her into it. She was in her Aunt Kelly and Uncle Shawn's wedding when she was 1 and half, and didn't smile for a single picture, so it's possible that Christopher may change his mind.

My other siblings-in-law are celebrating a wedding anniversary soon. In honor of that, I have posted some pictures of their wedding when Kaylee was their flower girl. Pictures from Shawn and Kelly's wedding will follow sometime soon. (They are hiding in my computer somewhere!)

(I was due in 3 weeks with Cameron in this picture!)
